Flu Shot "Clinics" for the Fall

We are currently scheduling appointments for our dedicated Influenza (Flu) Virus vaccination "clinics."  Flu shots (including the traditional shot in the arm, or the intranasal vaccine) are required for all children enrolled in licensed daycare and preschool, and for all public school students born on or after January 1, 2007.  The following dates and times are when we will be administering Flu Shots ONLY:

  • Saturday, October 27, 10 AM to 3 PM

Leah Galjan Post, MD, to join the practice on May 1st.

We are happy to announce that Dr. Leah Post will be joining the practice on May 1st.  Please come to meet Dr. Post at one of the Open Houses we are planning on March 1st, March 19th, and April 26th, all from 6:00 to 7:30 PM in the office.  She has been working in South Windsor for 12 years with Dr. Michael Levine, who is retiring this spring.  She and her family live in Glastonbury, and she's excited to play a larger role in her community.  Dr. Adamenko and Dr. Post overlapped for one year during their pediatric training at Yale-New Haven...

Dr. Henry Retires

After 42 years of service to Glastonbury and surrounding communities, William B. Henry, MD, has decided to retire.  His patients will miss his trademark blue coat with the ever changing array of buttons and pins.  Even more, they will miss his gentle style, patient listening, and astute clinical skills.  We wish Dr. Henry a hearty Congratulations and a happy and healthy retirement!  Those who were cared for by him and worked with him will miss him very much.

Medical Education in the Office

New School Entry Vaccination Requirements for Fall 2011

The Connecticut Department of Public Health has established new school entry vaccination requirements for Fall 2011.  These regulations can be viewed at www.ct.gov/dph/immunizations.  The following requirements bring Connecticut up to speed with national recommendations.

Effective August 1, 2011, all students born on or after January 1, 2007 who are enrolled in Pre-K or Kindergarten must show proof of having received two doses of hepatitis A vaccine.
