The Connecticut Center for Primary Care (CCPC) is ProHealth Physicians’ research and education foundation. CCPC is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization with a vision of contributing to measurable changes in the health status of Connecticut residents. CCPC was formed by ProHealth Physicians in 2002.
As a Practice Based Research Network (PBRN) affiliated with the American Academy of Family Physicians, Federation of Practice Based Research Networks, CCPC works with primary care practices throughout Connecticut on research projects addressing care coordination models, quality improvement initiatives, patient safety issues, disease-specific research, and provider and patient education programs.
CCPC’s core competencies include:
- The ability to manage and secure large, confidential, or complex databases.
- Knowledge of health information technology and use of electronic health records (EHR).
- Knowledge of clinical coding systems, familiarity with data standards, ability to identify, access, obtain, manipulate, analyze data.
- Past experience in developing pragmatic research methods.
