About the Practice

The effect of serious headache pain extends beyond the individual, and impacts the lives of family, friends and even colleagues. At the ProHealth Physicians Hartford Headache Center, our primary goal is to help those suffering from debilitating headaches better manage their pain and enjoy a better overall quality of life.

We understand that your time is valuable, and we make every effort to see each patient on time for their appointment. At times we may be delayed and ask for your patience and understanding if that occurs. Please bring your insurance card with you, as well as your medication list and a photo ID to your appointment.

Previous Consultations

If you have previously been seen by another neurologist or pain or headache specialist, please ask their office to send any office notes and copies of tests to our office prior to your first visit. This will allow us to provide a more comprehensive and thorough evaluation. Unfortunately, if we do not have these notes and test results by noon the day before your visit, we will have to reschedule your visit.

No-Show Policy

We pride ourselves in providing individualized care in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. When you schedule an appointment, we set aside a block of time specifically for you. If you don’t show up, or if you cancel without sufficient notice, that time is lost for other patients who may have benefitted from the visit.

We reserve the right to charge for “no shows” and last-minute cancellations to help defer administrative costs: $50 for a missed initial visit and $40 for a missed follow-up visit. The charge is not covered by insurance, and is the patient’s responsibility. Therefore, please call at least 24 hours in advance to cancel or reschedule an appointment.

Prescription Renewal Requests

If you have a prescription renewal request, please call your pharmacy and allow 36 hours to complete your medication renewal. If your provider has not seen you in the last six months, your renewal request may not be processed.
