Meet Our Team




Elizabeth Parcella, RD, CSP, CD-N, CLC

Elizabeth is a registered dietitian who has specialized in pediatric nutrition for the past eight years. In 2000, she received her BS in dietetics from UConn and became board certified as a specialist in pediatric nutrition in 2012. She previously worked at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center. She was part of the Fit 5 Weight Management program from 2009 to 2012 before transitioning back to the inpatient setting. Elizabeth is excited to return to pediatric weight management and to help guide patients and families towards healthier lifestyles.


Diane Lombardi, RD, CD-N, CLC

Diane is a registered dietitian who received her BS in dietetics from Saint Joseph College in 2003. She specialized in pediatric nutrition for more than 10 years at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center. There, she was involved with many aspects of pediatric weight management from individual nutrition counseling to program development. Diane is certified in pediatric weight management through the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and is very passionate about early intervention in the promotion of healthy eating habits in children. She is very excited to join the Healthy Me program and support ProHealth families in attaining a healthy lifestyle.


Angela Corcoran, MS, RD, CDN, CLC

Angela is a registered dietitian who graduated from UConn with a BS in dietetics in 2007 and an MS in health promotion in 2010. Her graduate work focused on the development of healthy feeding habits of preschool-aged children. After obtaining her degrees, she worked as a supermarket dietitian for ShopRite of West Hartford and ShopRite of Canton, providing nutrition counseling and education to customers, employees, and the community. She currently supports ProHealth Physicians offices in Middletown at Middlesex Pediatric Associates, Middlesex Family Physicians, and Pediatric & Adolescent Medical Group. Angie is excited to return her focus to pediatric nutrition as part of the ProHealth team and support families in reaching their healthy lifestyle goals.


Rebecca Balemian, RD, CD-N, CLC

Rebecca is a registered dietitian who received her BS in nutrition & dietetics from the University of New Haven. She specializes in pediatric nutrition and completed her dietetic internship at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center. She has worked with the Department of Public Health as a nutrition and wellness educator for FIT, and more recently at Yale-New Haven Hospital in pediatric acute care, GI, and weight management. In addition, she is a member of her community’s School Wellness Committee where she is working to strengthen the district’s nutrition policy. Rebecca supports ProHealth Physicians offices in Newington, Glastonbury, Marlborough, Rocky Hill, and North Haven. She is excited to join the Healthy Me Program and support families as they strive to reach their health and wellness goals.


Julie Peterson MS, RD, CLC

Julie is a registered dietitian for the ProHealth pediatric offices in Windham, Mansfield, Glastonbury, and Putnam. She received her BS from the University of Wyoming in 1995, and her master’s degree from UConn in 1999. Prior to joining the ProHealth team, she was involved in community nutrition education through the UConn SNAP-ed programs. As a mother of three children, she also actively strives to promote healthy eating in her children’s schools and community. She is dedicated to helping children learn healthy eating patterns that will point them toward a healthier future.


Barbara Dubois, RDN, CD-N

Barbara is a registered dietitian who received her BS in dietetics from University of Northern Colorado in 2010. She has worked with the geriatric population at Talmadge Park Healthcare in East Haven and counseled clients of all ages for Maryann Meade and Associates in Wallingford. Prior to earning her bachelor’s degree, Barbara had obtained an AAS in Dietetics from Briarwood College in 1997 (now Lincoln College of New England). She worked in a number of Connecticut hospitals, including Manchester Memorial Hospital, Bristol Hospital, and Hartford Hospital, where her responsibilities included educating patients in medical nutrition therapy. Barbara is dedicated to helping patients of all ages become healthier and is excited to be part of the Healthy Me program.

Jackie Longworth, RDN, CDN

Jackie received her B.S. in nutrition and dietetics from the University of Vermont in 2017. Prior to beginning her career as a dietitian, much of her work was centered on pediatric nutrition and physical activity, including a past internship with the Healthy Me program. As a yoga instructor, she exercises her joy of education and physical activity with others. Jackie is excited to return to Healthy Me and share her passion to motivate patients and families to build healthy relationships around food and physical activity!
