Welcome to Minh Han, MD – Family Practice

Our philosophy centers around good health and good lifestyle choices for the family and the individual: nutrition and exercise, a healthy mind, spirit, and body. Dr. Han is conversant with both traditional and complementary alternative medicine and welcomes dialogue with those who desire to pursue chiropractic, herbal, or holistic medicine.
We proudly serve a multitude of races and cultures, including people of Vietnamese, Chinese, Thai, Laotian, European, African, and Hispanic descent. Dr. Han speaks fluent Vietnamese, conversational Spanish, and endeavors to learn more languages. We are an open and affirming office and welcome GLBT patients and their families.
Our office handles minor surgeries including skin tag and wart removal, suturing, cryosurgery, and ingrown toenails. We also perform procedures such as EKG's, nebulizer treatments, STD screening, and anoscopy.
Dr. Han is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. The office is a teaching center for medical students from UConn, and the occasional college or high school student. Please let us know if you have a strong preference regarding the participation of medical students during your office visit by completing this form.
Our practice is one of the few primary care offices in the area that participate in pharmaceutical clinical trials. We have completed numerous trials on high blood pressure, cholesterol, pain management, depression, allergies, atrial fibrillation, and migraine headaches. Although we do not have any clinical studies with open enrollment, several are schedule to start in April 2012

The National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) has awarded this office and all of ProHealth a Level III designation, the highest possible, for its commitment to the Patient Centered Medical Home and quality of care. For two years, ProHealth has worked on developing the tools, systems, and resources to provide stellar medical care and qualify for this designation. This is just one more affirmation that the office is committed not only to treating illness in the most cost-effective manner possible, but also to prevent disease in the first place.
