Meet Our Team

All of our physicians are board certified in pediatrics and are members of The American Academy of Pediatrics. They all hold clinical appointments at Yale University School of Medicine.


Bruce Freeman, MD

Dr. Freeman was raised in Manhattan with two sisters and a brother. He attended undergraduate school at Cornell University and the University of London, earning his degree in psychology. He earned his medical degree at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City and completed his pediatric training at Yale-New Haven Hospital. During his residency, he spent a month working in a hospital in Tanzania. He is passionate about video editing, baseball, basketball, and youth sports in general.


Karen Goldberg, MD

Dr. Goldberg was born in Santiago, Chile, and immigrated to New York with her family at the age of two. She attended college at Cornell University where she majored in psychology and earned her medical degree from Mount Sinai School of Medicine. She completed her pediatric training at Yale Children’s Hospital, serving with distinction as Chief Resident in Pediatrics. She speaks Spanish fluently. Dr. Goldberg is married and has three children. She and her husband enjoy hiking, kayaking, skiing, and biking.


Eileen Lawrence, MD

Dr. Lawrence is the youngest of four sisters. She grew up just down the road from our practice in East Lyme and attended East Lyme High School. She completed her undergraduate studies at Harvard University where she was a member of the field hockey, lacrosse, and water polo teams. Dr. Lawrence earned her medical degree from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and concluded her pediatric training at Yale-New Haven Hospital. She, her husband, and her two children reside in Killingworth. Dr. Lawrence is an accomplished runner and triathlete. She also enjoys hiking, camping, and golf.


Kim Peace, MD

Dr. Peace grew up in Old Saybrook with one sister and one brother. She completed her undergraduate education at UConn and then went on to receive a masters in medical science from Drexel University in Philadelphia. She earned her medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine and completed her pediatric training at the University of Maryland in Baltimore. She also received training in child and adolescent psychiatry at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Dr. Peace lives in Old Saybrook with her Spanish Water Dog, Luna, and enjoys yoga, hiking, arts and crafts, and animal-assisted therapy.


Amy Golden, APRN, CLC

Amy Golden, APRN, obtained her undergraduate degree from George Mason University and her master’s degree from the University of Virginia. Amy is a certified lactation specialist. She moved to Connecticut from Northern Virginia, but was born and raised in northern Minnesota. Amy is married with two children. She enjoys being outdoors, hiking, running, swimming, and is an avid sports fan, enjoying Sunday football. Amy is passionate about caring for children and enjoys helping new mothers with breastfeeding.
