What to Expect from Your Sleep Visit

Home Sleep Test (HST)

  • Your MD will make an electronic or paper referral to the ProHealth Sleep Center.
  • Our dedicated staff will review the referral within 24 hours.
  • Once we have verified your insurance coverage, reviewed your plan for authorization, and made a clinical decision as to your needs, you will be contacted by our office.
  • Our first contact with you will be over the phone to verify and review all insurance information, discuss the treatment plan, and schedule you for your home sleep test pick up at one of our convenient locations.
  • Plan approximately 15 minutes for your home sleep test pick up.
  • You can expect to be greeted by an employee who will show you a short instructional video,haveyoucompletepaperwork, and provide you with your test kit. The team at the dispensing site should be able to answer general questions. There is a hotline available to you from 5:00pm–8:00am for more detailed problem solving should you require assistance.
  • After your home sleep test, you will repackage the device and drop it off at the designated office location.
  • The information will be uploaded into our system for processing.
  • It typically takes 5–6 business days to score, interpret, and deliver the results back to your referring physician.
  • A member of our team will call you to schedule an appointment to review your results.
  • Your follow-up appointment will run between 20–40 minutes.

In-Lab

  • Your MD will make an electronic or paper referral to the ProHealth Sleep Center.
  • Our dedicated staff will review the referral within 24 hours.
  • Once we have verified your insurance coverage, reviewed your plan for authorization, and made a clinical decision as to your needs, you will be contacted by a staff member of our in-lab sleep management team. Any specific coverage questions should be referred to the Sleep Center staff.
  • The in-lab management team’s first contact with you will be over the phone to schedule you for your in-lab sleep test at one of our convenient locations.
  • This overnight test involves an 8:00pm check-in time and a 5:30am check-out time.
  • You can expect to be greeted by a in-lab technician who will assist you during the test.
  • The test typically takes 10–11 business days to score, interpret, and deliver the results back to your referring physician.
  • A member of our team will call you to schedule an appointment to review your results.
  • Your follow-up appoint will run between 20–40 minutes.

Sleep Consults

  • Your MD will make an electronic or paper referral to the ProHealth Sleep Center.
  • Our dedicated staff will review the referral within 24 hours.
  • Once we have verified your insurance coverage, reviewed your plan for authorization, and made a clinical decision as to your needs, you will be contacted by our office.
  • Our first contact with you will be over the phone to verify and review all insurance information, discuss the treatment plan, and schedule you for your office visit at one of our convenient locations.
  • Our consultation appointments typically last 40 minutes.
  • Based on the information obtained in this visit, our clinician will discuss your individualized treatment plan with you.
