Each quarter, we recognize our doctors, physician assistants, nurse practitioners and other medical providers. The recipients have gone above and beyond for their team and patients. We're grateful to be surrounded by such outstanding individuals who embody our mission and commitment to care.

We thank them all for their dedication to making Connecticut healthier, one patient at a time. Join us in celebrating our 2023 awaredees.

Sam Anyatonwu, MD, Internal medicine, Southington and Plainville

Sam Anyatonwu, MD, is a hard worker. He has a drive to always do the best he can. His patients love him and he cares for them with kindness and compassion.

Dr. Anyatonwu is among the highest clinicians for quality and patient satisfaction in our group. He's a light and brings positivity to all of those around him. As such, he's made several media appearances for ProHealth.

He's been a part of our on-call service and served on the clinical chart review team. He also works with UConn medical students. Dr. Anyatonwu is dedicated to his craft and his patients. This truly speaks highly of how he is as a person and physician.

Rena Aroesty, MD, Pediatrics, Meriden

Mother Teresa once said, "Don't seek praise. Let your effort speak for yourself." Rena Aroesty, MD. aligns with this notion perfectly. She goes above and beyond in her work. 

She strives to see anyone in need of care. Even if it means squeezing more appointments into her busy day. She believes every patient is someone she can help. Thank you, Dr. Aroesty. We're grateful for your dedication to your patients.

Timothy Buckley, DO, Family medicine, Higganum

Timothy Buckley, DO is a force. He embodies performance and innovation. He tops ProHealth's quality metrics every year. His efforts are award-worthy. In 2022, he was selected for the UHG Hero Award. Dr. Buckley is a go-getter.

He started weekly micro-strategy sessions at his office in Higganum. During this time, he talks about important topics with the whole clinical team. This is a great way to promote a united team culture.

We're grateful for your dedication, Dr. Buckley. We're fortunate to have clinicians like you here.

Tran Nguyen, MD and Rosanna Chapleau, PA-C, Internal medicine, Bethel

Our clinicians roll with the punches. Tran Nguyen, MD. and Rosanna Chapleau, PA-C, have run into a few. Their home office is undergoing a lengthy construction project. This displaced them to another office. Then that office suffered a pipe burst, rehousing them again.

All this and a new practice manager, too. Needless to say, Dr. Nguyen and Rosanna are resilient. They show up for their patients, no matter which office they're in. We're in awe of your patience, Dr. Nguyen and Rosanna. Thank you for your positivity through the hurdles.

Holly Fitzgerald, APRN, Internal medicine, Bristol

Holly Fitzgerald, APRN, is her office's cheerleader. She's always ready to promote positive work culture. You can count on Holly to boost morale. She once set up an office taco party to celebrate her staff's achievements. She's also an excellent clinician. Her patients sing her praises.

Recently, Holly began mentoring new clinicians. She shares her tips on being efficient and patient focused. Holly's dedication is admirable. She fully commits to all that she does. We're proud of her contributions to ProHealth.We're grateful for your dedication, Dr. Buckley. We're fortunate to have clinicians like you here.

Theresa Keddy, PA-C, Family medicine, Farmington

Theresa Keddy, PA-C, is a culture champion. She's involved in projects that help make ProHealth better, like our rapid improvement events. She's part of our mentorship program, too. You may also have seen her on TV or heard her on the radio.

Theresa's practice manager, Kim Kasparian, sings her praises. "Theresa is amazing. She is a breath of fresh air and is so positive all the time."

Her regional medical director quoted, "No matter where Theresa is placed, she will do great. She will make the office better. She is truly an asset to her team and our organization." It is a privilege to have her work for ProHealth.

Jennifer Miller, APRN, Family medicine, Ridgefield

Jennifer Miller, APRN, does it all. Most notably, Jennifer helped out short-handed staff one weekend. She took one patient phone call, which turned into many more. Jennifer took calls all weekend. All while being away at a company-sponsored event.

Jennifer's been instrumental in championing a take-charge attitude at her office. She's always willing to pitch in. She shares issues and offers solutions. And she does it all with a positive attitude. Jennifer, thank you for all you do.

Timothy Rausch, APRN, Family medicine, Guilford

Tim Raucsh, APRN, displays ProHealth's values both at work and in his community. He's a compassionate clinician and volunteer firefighter. Tim is innovative. He looks for ways to improve work processes at his office. His ideas are always creative and well thought out.

He's a respected leader. He contributes his time to projects that promote the betterment of ProHealth — specifically for our clinicians and staff. He is open and trusting.

Tim excels at developing deep-rooted relationships. He's an all-around great person. We're lucky to have him at ProHealth.

Bhavna Sacheti, MD, Pediatrics, South Windsor

Bhavna Sacheti, MD radiates positivity. Anyone can vouch for her optimism. She's also a champion of our culture and values. Dr. Sacheti dives into projects that will grow her skills.

She also is first to sign up for events that will benefit ProHealth. She's a true team player. We're so lucky to have her as part of our team.

Caryn Sloate, APRN, Pediatrics, Enfield

Caryn Sloate, APRN, is a team player. She's always there with an ear to listen. She's the first to offer information that can be useful for the whole organization. She rallies everyone together during difficult times. Caryn is compassionate and dedicated.

She talks of her team members and patients as if they're family. She gives 100% at all times. She wants her patients to be their healthiest and happiest. She's the perfect example of what ProHealth values in a clinician. Caryn is a true role model and we're lucky to have her.

Shilpa Rajashekar, MD, Family medicine, Farmington

Shilpa Rajashekar, MD is a rising star for ProHealth. Her practice manager calls her the "go-to clinician." She's always willing to take on more leadership roles.

She precepts medical students. This means she supervises them during clinical practice. She's also a mentor to our new clinicians. Dr. Rajashekar is a true leader. We're happy she's with us.

Katherine Gruskay, APRN, approaches her role with enthusiasm. She enters patient rooms with a smile and a positive attitude. Her patients appreciate her compassionate care. She's a team player.

She was recently asked to do a media spotlight without much notice. Kate jumped right in and did an incredible job. Her can-do attitude is at the heart of all she does. She can turn a challenge into an opportunity for growth. Thank you, Kate. You are truly inspiring.
