She was not personable. I felt as if she didn’t like me, for some reason. Also, when my CBC came back abnormal she didn’t look to see that for me, with Thalassemia, it actually was normal. There was no look-back in my chart to see prior CBC results. There was no delving into my past visits and blood tests. I was there for a pre-op clearance.

She is super nice and professional. Very easy to talk to, she takes time to explain and answer your questions, she doesn't rush you. Love her personality.

It was my first time meeting her and she seemed nice. Because it was my first time with her and my previous dr had left, I would have expected a more personal introduction. Also, I was offered AIDS testing and some other tests/vaccines that if I was with my previous Dr I don’t think I would have been asked. It was off putting and she kept saying “they” want me to offer it to you. That made the whole experience clinical and dry. Honestly I didn’t feel a connection with her like I had with the lest caregiver, despite giving it a try. I’m not sure I will continue seeing her for care.

Delvyann knew she always wanted to help others. She grew up in a small town in Jamaica and saw how limited access to health care affected her community. Seeing people struggle with preventable illnesses affected her deeply. Delvyann desired to be part of the solution. She wants patients to know that she is a partner in their health journey.
