I had been given a sheet of information about my visit (a pre-op checkup for upcoming day surgery) that I ended up walking out with still in hand. I am not sure why I wasn't asked for it. Then, a week later, the surgeon's office called wondering if I had the pre-op appointment. I figured it may have had to do with the paper I still had in my possession, so I brought it back (although no one asked for it) and I called the office to be sure that the necessary communications be made between the two offices. Somehow and luckily, it got straightened out, because I had my surgery and it was successful.
