Doctor Borshchenko was kind and concerned about my pain. The medication which he provided was adequate to relieve pain. He spent time with me and I felt that he examined me with care. I know that my friends would appreciate his skill and kindness.

When the physician came into the examination room, he seemed either rushed or upset. I had never met him before and expected at least a few introductory comments prior to the examination. Overall, I was not pleased with this experience.

Bedside manner aside (which was also not great), I am disappointed. I was there for a pre-op appointment to get cleared for surgery. The appointment was made well enough in advance that the provider should have been able to at least glance at my chart. There is absolutely no excuse for having to give a doctor a play-by-play of every single medical issue, surgery, medication etc. I felt as if the doctor envisioned that I was just a healthy young woman in her [omitted] who will be a quick and easy clear for surgery. I shouldn't have to explain every surgery and the fact that I use a CPAP machine when it's been in my chart for years. I have been coming to this practice since I was [omitted] years old. In addition, my surgeon's office faxed the clearance paperwork over TWICE and ProHealth was adamant that it was not sent over even though my surgeon got confirmation twice. I had her send it to my phone while there because the office 'couldn't find it'. I read it and emailed it to the nurse and it very clearly stated that I need an EKG to be cleared for surgery because of my medical issues. I spoke with the nurse about it and she didn't think I needed to do it. She went and filled the doctor in and returned saying that just because I use a CPAP doesn't mean I need an EKG. Again, I referred to the chart on the paperwork with qualifying medical issues and told her that my surgeon said I needed one and that I'm not leaving without an EKG. I'd been in the office waiting for an HOUR AND A HALF at this point so I wasn't leaving without all completed tests.

I was told that the practice would not be prescribing mental health medications and I needed to find a doctor that would. I will be looking for another practice for this reason.
