If you head south for the winter, it’s good to know that ProHealth Physicians works closely with two Florida doctor groups — WellMed and MedExpress. They’ll make sure you get the care you need, from preventive services to more urgent matters.
WellMed for primary and specialty care
WellMed is a group of primary care and specialty doctors with many locations in Florida. They’ll contact your ProHealth doctor to get information about your health. They’ll also let him or her know about the care they provide.
WellMed is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, by appointment only.
MedExpress for urgent care
MedExpress cares for everything from bumps and burns to fevers and fractures. Wait times are shorter than an emergency room and the cost is usually less. They’ll also keep your doctor informed. You’ll find MedExpress in neighborhood medical centers throughout Florida.
MedExpress is open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days a week. No appointment is needed.
Tell them you’re a ProHealth patient
When you call or visit WellMed or MedExpress, tell them you’re a ProHealth Physicians patient and give them the name of your doctor. That way, they’ll be able to connect with your physician and share information about your care.
