About our equipment

Text

State-of-the-art equipment plays an important role in our laboratory. It helps us better detect diseases, design new tests and automate key aspects of our work.

Accordion Block v2
  • The Roche Cobas 8000 does 2,400 tests per hour, including basic metabolic panels, lipid panels and hormone tests. We were the first lab in Connecticut to use this equipment.

    OR
  • The Sysmex XN-2000 analyzes blood cells, including new red blood cells and complete blood counts (CBCs). It performs 200 CBCs per hour and uses flow cytometry, a technique that greatly improves the quality of testing.

    OR
  • The ACL TOP 300 provides fast, accurate results for blood clotting times (PT/INR and aPPTs). We can get results to health care providers as early as 2 p.m. for samples taken in the morning.

    OR
  • The Vitek 2 identifies bacteria quickly and effectively. This reduces our turnaround time for most tests by 24 hours.

    OR
  • The iRICELL 200 does fully automated urine testing and provides detailed results quickly. This allows us to send reports to our providers sooner, improving patient care.
