CEO message: Update on COVID-19

Until the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) passes — and it shall pass — I’ll be in touch with you more often. From our caregivers to our IT and facilities experts, our teams are working around the clock to help us stay on top of this ever-changing situation.
I’m grateful to our patients, providers and staff for adapting so quickly. The level of commitment I’m seeing at every level of ProHealth is amazing. I’m honored to work side by side with such devoted professionals.
Your safety is my top priority. To that end, we’ve put guidelines in place for care by phone. We’re also rolling out video appointments. Our goal is to make sure you get the care you need while keeping office visits — and exposure to the virus — low.
In addition, some of our locations are now doing only lung evaluations. We also have two drive-through locations for testing. One is in Farmington and the other is in Middletown. In short, we are here for you now more than ever.
If you have symptoms that are causing concerns, call your primary care doctor to talk about next steps. If you meet the criteria for COVID-19 testing, your doctor will order the test for you.
As I said before, we remain committed to the well-being of those who depend on us — a commitment that’s fully backed by OptumCare. As such, we are focused on doing right by our patients, employees and the communities we serve.
